GoT Outstanding New Show at the TCA awards

On Saturday night, Game of Thrones bagged its first award (and that’s “only the first of many courses”, we hope and believe). The Television Critics Association, comprising about 200 US and Canadian journalists, proclaimed Thrones the best new show of last season, placing it ahead of all its fellow nominees in the category: Boardwalk Empire, Terriers, The Killing,and Walking Dead. Next up, we can expect the results of the internet-based Portal Awards (the longest running SF&F awards) soon, while the final round of Tubey Awards is in full swing (vote for new categories each Monday for the next month). And then … on to the Emmys in September!
